On July 7, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Philippe Luscan, President of Sanofi France, and Gilles Lhernould, Senior Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility, presented on behalf of Sanofi employees in France, the Company and the Sanofi Espoir Foundation, a check for 153,891 euros to its longtime CSR partner Samusocial of Paris.
This year, thanks to Sanofi employees in France, the Clic solidaire campaign raised 53,891 euros matched by the Company to the tune of 50,000 euros. This sum, together with an additional 50,000 euros donated by the Sanofi Espoir Foundation, Samusocial should be able to roll out its BEEP service to the whole Ile-de-France(Greater Paris), already road-tested in Seine-et-Marne and Essonne regions.
Since its launch in 2000, the Clic solidaire has already aided many projects initiated by Samusocial, which Sanofi has supported since it began in 1993. Between 2000 and 2010, the donations collected enabled the creation and support of the Mobile Team Against Tuberculosis. Between 2010 and 2011, Sanofi participated in developing the Mobile Aid Teams that identify homeless people and facilitate their medical care. In 2011, the Montrouge Emergency Accommodation Center has been renovated and provided with a team of highly trained caregivers to address the needs of women in extreme physical, psychological and/or social distress. In 2012, the amount raised through Clic solidaire helped create a daycare center for homeless families with children of under 3 years to help assess their health and social needs.
In 2013, the Parents-Children Bus Space was set up from donations collected by Clic solidaire matched by the company. Today, the gifts sent to Samusocial will allow this support system for families in great difficulty to expand and bring hope to more families.
